Environmental Health Educator | Voorheesville, NY
The Environmental Health Educator primarily delivers lead-based paint renovation, repair, and painting training, as well as lead abatement classes. The Educator delivers other environmental health programs as needed or assigned (e.g., radon, mold, indoor air quality, healthy homes, etc.). This position also tracks, prepares, and submits all required program documentation.

The Educator works as part of a flexible team - performing existing or new responsibilities which can change based on Association needs, new grant initiatives, etc.

Compensation is paid at the rate of $25.05 per hour and includes 21 Vacation days, 14 Holidays, 3 Personal days and 12 Sick days annually. Mileage for work related travel is reimbursed. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree and experience relevant to the role of the position.
An Associate’s degree plus 2 years related experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s degree. This position also requires US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certified Lead Renovator Certification or the ability to become certified within one month of hire and ability to become EPA approved Principal Instructor within six months of hire. We provide training and professional development time to gain certification!
